Dish Care Tips

Wash dishes in the following order for best results: Glassware, Cutlery, Dishes, Pots and Pans. Following this order you'll typically be washing the least greasy items first so your items will come out cleaner.

To remove coffee or tea stains and cigarette burns from fine china, rub with a damp cloth dipped in baking soda.

Use baking soda to remove stains in non-stick frying pans, by boiling the pan in a solution of 4 tablespoons baking soda and 1/2 cups of water. Rinse thoroughly.

Dishes wash easily if you keep them under the water while scrubbing them. Particles lift away.

To remove mineral deposits in a tea pot or burnt spots on a coffee pot, put some ice cubes in the pot along with cut-up lemon, and salt with a tad water and swish around and let it remain overnight.

To disinfect smelly sponges, wash them thoroughly, and microwave them for a short period while they are wet. Remove the sponge carefully, as it will be hot! Wash the sponge again.
